I popped in on my way up north and had a bangin meal and drinks. The Kadhai paneer and Madras were both amazing, garlic naan was very garlicy and delicious. The staff are also so friendly and there’s some parking behind the pub if you’re taking a quick stop. Highly recommend!

Went to the Port and Ale today for hubby's birthday treat. Everything was great from the moment we walked in. Great friendly and professional service. And the food was excellent, best we've had in a long time. Steve had the Goat Curry, which was rich and tasty, with a deep flavour. The meat was melt in the mouth tender. My son and I shared a Mega Grill, which was delicious. A mini mountain of different meat, chicken and fish on a sizzling platter, we even had enough to take some home. The young man serving us was friendly, polite and professional, very attentive. We would definitely recommend this place, we'll definitely be going again.

We ordered: Poppadoms (the sauces and onions were really good!) 2 x chicken wraps Paneer jalfrezi Garlic naan 2 chips Kids chicken burger and chips All food was fresh and tasty. Good value for money. We would definitely return.

We ordered the medium mixed grill on Monday as a takeaway and it was delicious and huge. We ate it for 2 days (and lunch) the chicken melted in your mouth, the wings were cooked to perfection, the seekh kebab had a nice kick to it and the fish pakora was nicely flavoured and not overpowering. Sorry I don’t have a picture as it was a takeaway and I forgot! Definitely recommend eating here or taking away.

Wonderful food, I’m very happy they have non-halal food as we Sikhs don’t eat halal. It’s very important. Good job
